The Polo Club Condominium building is in the midst of a $1.5 million project to restore our underground parking garage and the garden on the garage roof. The project was initiated in the summer of 2005 with the removal of the landscaping on the roof and the removal and replacement of the waterproofing membrane. Repairs to the garage structure were completed in fall of 2005. New plazas, walking paths and landscaping will be installed in the spring of 2006.
The entire project will extend over five years with additional amenities being added each year. By 2007 a plaza with BBQ grill and a multi-purpose/Bocce ball court will be completed. The next year, a new tennis court will be installed, followed by a putting green the final year. Improvements will also be made to the landscaping and walkways in the front yard. The existing swimming pool and party rooms will open onto a new terrace.
The garden master plan is shown in the above picture. By agreement of the homeowners, the tennis court will be repositioned on the east side of the property and the other amenities will be reversed. The garage roof affords nearly two acres of garden in the midst of the city - a truly remarkable landscape for urban living.
